Video Series: The Journey to LA

The new YouTube series The Journey to LA features interviews with USA Fencing hopefuls for the LA2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Hosted by keynote speaker Melissa Forziat and her project, “Take the Doughnut,” covers both fencing and parafencing in a multiple-sport series, with interviews dropping every Monday. So far, fencers Nick Itkin and Maia Chamberlain have done interviews, which are linked below, and keep watching for many more to come here on American Fencer and the series’ YouTube channel.

The Journey to LA shares background on how each athlete started in their sport, the lengths they are going to on their journey to LA2028, advice they would give to young athletes and who they want to thank. Plus, the athletes have been offering fun facts to educate audiences on their sport. This series is a great opportunity to draw new fans to fencing.
